Rasbora paviana
Origin: Thailand, Malaysia (Malay Peninsula)
Rasbora paviana is a moderately large, streamlined rasbora from the Malay Peninsula and southern Thailand, displaying a bold, continuous black lateral stripe running from snout to tail base. Its streamlined form and active schooling behavior make it an excellent choice for larger planted community tanks where its shoaling is showcased across open water. Relatively hardy once acclimated, it tolerates a moderate range of water parameters and is suitable for beginner aquarists with sufficient tank volume.
Keep in groups of 8+ in a large planted tank with open swimming space. Provide gentle to moderate filtration. Feed quality flake, micro-pellets, and frozen daphnia and brine shrimp. Compatible with most peaceful community species of similar size.
