Carinotetraodon travancoricus, the Pea Puffer or Dwarf Puffer, is the world's smallest fully freshwater puffer fish. At only 2.5 cm, it is packed with personality — highly intelligent and interactive with its keeper. Native to Kerala, India. A snail and pest-control expert that actively hunts in planted tanks. Sold individually.
Keep alone or in species tanks with good female-to-male ratio. At least 20 L per fish. Feed live or frozen snails, bloodworm, brine shrimp. May nip fins of slow-moving fish. Requires pristine water quality. Provide lots of plants and hiding spots to reduce aggression between individuals. Do not keep with guppies or bettas.
