About
Placidochromis electra, the Deep Water Hap, is a slender, elegant Malawi cichlid with powder blue male colouration and subtle bars. Less aggressive than most Malawi species. Sand-sifting behaviour. From deeper rocky-sandy zones of Lake Malawi.

250 L+. Sandy substrate for sifting. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 7.8–8.5. Hap/peacock community. Feed quality cichlid pellets. Peaceful — good first Malawi haplochromine.
