Pseudacanthicus leopardus
Origin: Brazil, Venezuela (Orinoco)
Pseudacanthicus leopardus, the Leopard Cactus Pleco (L114), has dramatic leopard spots and exceptionally spiny odontodes covering its body — looking like a moving cactus. One of the most impressive-looking plecos but grows large and is aggressive.
300 L+ tank. Temperature 26–30°C, pH 6.0–7.5. Caves and territory. Feed sinking pellets, shrimp, meat-based foods — carnivore. Aggressive toward same species and similar shaped fish.
