Pseudochromis fridmani, the Orchid Dottyback, is an entirely vibrant purple fish and one of the most popular captive-bred marine fish. Less aggressive than most dottybacks. Red Sea endemic. Bold and curious personality.
Provide caves and hiding spots. Temperature 24–27°C. Feed Mysis, pellets, Artemia. Captive-bred specimens adapt easily to aquarium foods. One per tank unless sexed pair. Reef safe — may eat small ornamental shrimp.
