Pterophyllum altum, the Altum Angel, is the largest and tallest species of angelfish, reaching heights of 35cm including fins. Wild-caught from the Rio Orinoco and Rio Negro. Demands pristine blackwater conditions.
Care Guide
pH 4.5–5.5, KH 0–1, temp 27–30°C, ultra-soft blackwater. Keep in tall tanks of minimum 200L. Very sensitive to water chemistry — use RO water with peat filtration.
