Nemateleotris decora
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Nemateleotris decora — the purple firefish or decorated dartfish — is considered the more vivid sibling of N. magnifica. Its body is pale anteriorly, fading to deep purple at the tail, with a dramatically coloured purple-and-orange dorsal fin. It shares identical care requirements with the firefish but is slightly more reclusive and may take longer to settle in a new tank. A stunning display fish for peaceful community reef tanks.
Light: any. Flow: gentle. TIGHT LID required. Feed: small meaty foods. Reef-safe. Same care as firefish but slightly more reclusive.
