Purple Micro Crab

Geosesarma sp. 'Purple' is a captivating vampire crab variety distinguished by its rich violet-to-deep-purple carapace and vivid contrasting yellow eyes — a combination that makes it one of the most visually arresting small crabs available. It is semi-terrestrial and thrives in paludarium enclosures with a balance of land and shallow water zones. Colonies are relatively compatible and breeding groups are easily maintained with the correct setup.

Water: 23–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0, GH 6–15, KH 3–8; high humidity in terrestrial zone. Tank: minimum 30 L paludarium, moist substrate land area, shallow water, cork bark hides. Feeding: fruit, vegetables, sinking pellets, dried leaves, occasional small invertebrates. Behaviour: semi-terrestrial; nocturnal; peaceful in groups with space. Compatibility: species tank or mixed Geosesarma; not suitable with fish or dwarf shrimp.
