Elassoma evergladei
Origin: Southeastern USA (Florida, Georgia)
Elassoma evergladei, the Everglades Pygmy Sunfish, is a tiny and jewel-like North American fish. Males display vivid blue-green iridescent scales during courtship. Only 2.5–3 cm long, they are perfectly suited to unheated nano planted tanks. A fascinating cold-water alternative for nano aquarists. Pack of 6.
Keep in a heavily planted nano tank of at least 15 L. Tolerates room temperature without a heater. Feed micro live foods: baby brine shrimp, micro worms, copepods. Very peaceful but best in a species tank or with tiny non-aggressive fish. Provide plenty of cover. Feed at least twice daily.
