Carassius auratus
Origin: Captive bred
A tricolor Ranchu combining red, white, and black in a unique pattern unique to each individual fish. The characteristic egg body, arched back, and developing wen make this a premium display goldfish. Tricolor Ranchu are harder to source and command a higher price due to the selective breeding demands of maintaining all three colours in good balance on a body meeting Ranchu standard conformation.
Minimum 150 L with gentle filtration. pH 7.0–8.0, GH 5–15, KH 3–8, temperature 10–22°C. Shallow tanks preferred for top-down viewing. Sinking pellets and gel foods only. Keep exclusively with compatible slow-swimming fancy goldfish. Frequent water changes 25% weekly to maintain ideal water quality for show-standard fish.
