Caridina gracilirostris
Origin: Southeast Asia, India
The Red Nose Shrimp (Caridina gracilirostris), also known as Pinocchio Shrimp, features a transparent body with a vivid red nose stripe and red-tipped rostrum that makes it immediately recognisable. An active, schooling shrimp that prefers to be kept in groups and does best in brackish water, though it can adapt to hard, alkaline freshwater. Its lively behaviour and unique appearance make it a fascinating display animal.
