Apistogramma sp. 'Rotpunkt'
Also known as: Red-spot Apisto, Rotpunkt Apistogramma
Origin: South America
Apistogramma sp. Rotpunkt is named for the distinctive red spot (Rotpunkt means 'red dot' in German) that adorns each flank of males in this undescribed Peruvian form. Combined with rich yellow-orange body coloration and coloured finnage, this spot makes it instantly recognisable and highly attractive to collectors.

Behaviour: territorial during breeding; harem setup (1M:2-3F) recommended. Compatibility: peaceful community with small tetras and Corydoras.
