About

The Resplendent Angelfish (Centropyge resplendens) is an exceptionally rare dwarf angel endemic solely to Ascension Island in the Atlantic, featuring a bright orange-yellow body with vivid blue trim on its fins and eye. Among the rarest angelfish in the aquarium hobby, it commands very high prices when available. Only suitable for experienced aquarists with fully mature, stable reef systems and a sponge-enriched specialist diet.

Care Guide

Minimum 100 L mature reef with abundant live rock and sponge growth. pH 8.1–8.4, salinity 1.020–1.025, temperature 22–26°C. Feed sponge-based angel formula, mysis, spirulina, and quality frozen marine foods. Acclimate slowly and patiently. Semi-aggressive with other dwarf angels. May nip at LPS corals. Extremely rare — source responsibly.
