Corydoras reticulatus
Also known as: Reticulated Cory, Network Cory
Origin: South America (Peru — Amazon tributaries)
Corydoras reticulatus is found in Peruvian Amazon tributaries and is admired for its distinctive reticulated pattern — fine dark lines forming a net-like mesh across its silvery body. It is a peaceful, active schooling species that does best in established, stable aquariums. Its pattern distinguishes it clearly from other spotted corydoras species.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderately hard (GH 2–15). Tank: 60 L minimum; fine sand substrate; planted with open areas for foraging. Feeding: Sinking pellets, wafers, frozen bloodworm and daphnia as regular supplements. Behaviour: Active daytime schooler; displays best in groups of 6 or more. Compatibility: Peaceful with all community fish; safe with shrimp and snails.
