Pethia conchonius, the Rosy Barb, is one of the hardiest and most undemanding of all barbs. Males develop vivid rosy-pink colouration when in condition. Cold tolerant — can be kept in unheated aquariums in summer. A peaceful community fish, less nippy than Tiger Barbs, and suitable for most community setups. Pack of 8.
Very adaptable and hardy. At least 80 L for a group. Tolerates temperatures as low as 16°C. Feed quality flake, small pellets, vegetables. Less nippy than Tiger Barbs but may occasionally bother long-finned species in small groups. Excellent beginner barb.
