Ryukin Calico Goldfish

The Calico Ryukin is a spectacular fancy goldfish with a characteristic high dorsal hump behind the head and a long, flowing quadruple tail. Nacreous scales create a beautiful pearlescent shimmer that changes with the viewing angle, overlaid with a mosaic of red, white, blue, and black patches unique to each individual. Their active swimming behaviour and visual distinctiveness make them highly collectible specimens for indoor aquariums and garden ponds in temperate climates.

Requires excellent filtration due to the high bioload of fancy goldfish. Maintain cool water (10–22°C) and provide 150L or more per adult fish. Feed a varied diet of goldfish pellets, blanched vegetables, and occasional live/frozen foods. Avoid feeding excessive proteins. Do not mix with tropical fish. Perform regular water changes (30–50% weekly) to maintain water quality.
