Sailfin Tang Zebrasoma veliferum

Zebrasoma veliferum — the sailfin tang — is one of the most dramatic-looking tangs, raising its large dorsal and anal fins as a display, effectively doubling its apparent size. The vertical striped pattern varies between brown, white, and yellow bars. It is a powerful algae grazer capable of clearing large areas of filamentous algae quickly. Requires a large tank due to its active swimming and territorial nature. Generally reef-safe.

Tank: 400+ L. Feed: nori/seaweed daily, supplemented with mysis and LPS foods. Strong algae grazer — supplement nori if tank algae is insufficient. Reef-safe.
