Corydoras habrosus
Origin: Venezuela, Colombia
Corydoras habrosus, the Salt and Pepper Cory or Dainty Cory, is one of the smallest corydoras species — reaching only 3.5 cm — making it one of the few cories truly suitable for nano tanks from 30 L. Its white body is dusted with tiny grey-black speckles, giving a salt-and-pepper appearance. Equally peaceful and active as larger cories, it makes an excellent companion for nano fish like CPD, Ember Tetras, and Scarlet Badis. Often seen swimming mid-water in groups.
Groups of 6+. Nano tank 30+ L. Fine sand essential. Temperature 22–26 °C, soft slightly acidic water. Feed micro-pellets, baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia. Avoid with large boisterous fish.
