About
Dario dario, the Scarlet Badis, is a spectacular micro perch from Bengal, India. Males are tiny (2 cm) but brilliantly coloured with vivid red and blue vertical banding. One of the most colourful freshwater nano fish available. They are carnivorous and may refuse dry food initially. Pack of 6 mixed sexes.
Care Guide
Feed primarily live or frozen micro foods: baby brine shrimp, micro worms, copepods. May eventually accept frozen cyclops or bloodworm. Males are territorial with each other; keep 1 male per 10 L or separate by visual barriers. Do not keep with boisterous fish that will outcompete them for food. Heavily planted tank essential.
