About
The 'Iceberg' is a selectively bred all-white colour morph of the popular Electric Blue Ahli (Sciaenochromis fryeri), prized for its striking pure white colouration with icy blue iridescent highlights that shimmer under aquarium lighting. Like the wild-type, it is a large, predatory haplochromine cichlid that hunts mbuna fry and small fish in natural conditions. A truly spectacular showpiece for large Malawi display tanks.
Care Guide
Identical care to the standard Electric Blue Ahli. Maintain large Malawi haplochromine setup (minimum 300L) with rocky zones and open sand areas. Hard, alkaline water (pH 7.6–8.6, GH 8–20). Feed high-protein carnivore diet. Do not house with very small fish. Keep one male per tank with multiple females. The white coloration may be less vivid in dim lighting — use appropriate reef-white spectrum LEDs.
