Amphiprion sebae
Origin: Indian Ocean (Sri Lanka to Java)
The Sebae Clownfish (Amphiprion sebae) is an elegant species from the Indian Ocean, displaying a warm orange to yellow-orange body with two white bars and yellow fins. Closely associated with Heteractis crispa (Sebae Anemone) in the wild, it grows to a respectable 16 cm, making it a commanding and distinctive presence in larger reef systems. A moderately hardy clownfish suitable for intermediate reef keepers.
Provide a suitable host anemone (Heteractis crispa preferred) or dense coral cover for shelter. Introduce as a mated pair if possible — single fish are territorial once established. Feed a varied omnivore diet of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and quality marine pellets. Semi-aggressive towards other clownfish species; keep only one pair per system. Relatively hardy once acclimated.
