Corydoras concolor
Origin: Venezuela (Suapure and Caris rivers)
Corydoras concolor (Slate Cory) is an unusual uniformly pigmented cory from the Suapure and Caris rivers of Venezuela, presenting an overall slate-grey to olive colouration with very little patterning — a refreshing minimalist look among corydoras. Hardy and adaptable, it tolerates moderate water conditions and is a gregarious bottom-dweller that thrives in groups, pairing well with South American tetras and dwarf cichlids.
Provide fine sand substrate to protect sensitive barbels. Keep in groups of 6 or more. Feed sinking micro pellets, frozen bloodworm, Daphnia, and baby brine shrimp. Soft to moderately hard water preferred. Sensitive to ammonia spikes — maintain water quality with regular partial water changes. Compatible with all peaceful South American community fish.
