Snow White Vampire Crab

Geosesarma sp. 'Snow' is an extraordinary vampire crab variety in which the carapace and legs are pure white, creating a dramatic contrast with the species' characteristically vivid orange eyes. This combination produces one of the most visually striking small crabs in the hobby. Like other Geosesarma vampire crabs, it requires a paludarium with a substantial humid land zone and shallow water for moulting, and it breeds readily under appropriate conditions.

Water: 23–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0, GH 6–15, KH 3–8; humidity 70–80% in terrestrial zone. Tank: minimum 30 L paludarium, moist soil substrate, shallow water, cork and wood hides. Feeding: fruit, blanched vegetables, sinking pellets, dried leaf litter. Behaviour: semi-terrestrial; active at dusk; males may spar but rarely injure. Compatibility: species tank or with other Geosesarma; avoid fish and shrimp.
