Neocaridina davidi 'Snowball'
Origin: Taiwan (captive-bred)
The Snowball Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi 'Snowball') is named for its distinctive white, round egg clusters visible through the female's translucent body during breeding. The shrimp itself displays a clean white to pale cream colouration that stands out elegantly against darker substrates and hardscape. A hardy, adaptable shrimp suitable for beginner shrimp keepers, following Neocaridina care requirements.
Maintain Neocaridina water parameters: pH 6.8–7.8, GH 6–14, KH 2–6, temp 18–26°C. Provide a well-planted aquarium with fine substrate and Indian Almond leaf or botanical additions for biofilm. Feed quality shrimp-specific foods: biofilm wafers, blanched vegetables, and leaf litter. Avoid copper-based medications — lethal to all shrimp. Sensitive to ammonia and chlorine; acclimate slowly.
