Space Monster Zoanthid

Zoanthus sp. 'Space Monster' is a visually dramatic designer morph with dark black-green centres, bold contrasting ring markings, and outer tentacles displaying unusual variegated patterning that appears almost otherworldly under blue reef lighting. A moderate grower compared to more prolific zoanthid morphs, contributing to its relative scarcity and higher collector value. Best under moderate to high lighting with good flow to keep polyp surfaces clear of detritus.

Place under moderate to high flow and moderate to high lighting (150–250+ PAR). Feed supplemental zooplankton foods (Reef Roids, Coral Frenzy) 1–2 times weekly for faster growth. Acclimate to lighting gradually — sudden high-light exposure can cause bleaching. Space Monster Zoas spread via new polyp budding from the colony base; provide space for expansion. Handle with gloves — palytoxin present in all Zoanthus species.
