Aspidoras fuscoguttatus is a small, lively armoured catfish from Brazil best identified by the prominent dark spots on its dorsal and caudal fins that distinguish it from similar Aspidoras species. It is an active forager spending most of its time sifting through fine substrate. Well-suited to nano and planted community aquariums.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to medium hardness. Tank: 40L+, fine sand substrate, plants and driftwood, gentle to moderate flow. Feeding: Small sinking wafers, micro pellets, frozen daphnia, cyclops, and bloodworm. Behaviour: Active, peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+. Compatibility: Excellent nano community fish with small, peaceful species.
