Pseudomugil gertrudae

Origin: Papua New Guinea & northern Australia
Pseudomugil gertrudae is found in slow-moving streams, swamps, and pools of Papua New Guinea and the Northern Territory of Australia, typically in heavily vegetated habitats. Males display beautiful spotted patterning on the dorsal and caudal fins with characteristic vivid blue eyes. Best kept in a well-planted nano aquarium with gentle water movement.
Water: 22–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5, soft to moderately hard; very gentle flow. Tank: 30 L+ planted nano; dense vegetation for cover and spawning. Feeding: Omnivore; micro-foods, fine flakes, baby brine shrimp, and micro-worms. Behaviour: Peaceful, gentle nano fish; males display spotted fins to rivals and females. Compatibility: Species tank or with very small, peaceful nano fish only.
