Stylophora pistillata (Purple)

The purple form of Stylophora pistillata displays deep violet to purple colouration that intensifies under blue actinic lighting, providing a striking alternative to the more common pink form. It shares all the same forgiving care requirements and fast growth rate, making it equally well-suited to beginner SPS reef systems. Purple Stylophora pairs beautifully with orange and yellow Montipora for a vivid colourful reef composition.

Same as pink Stylophora: medium-high PAR (150–300), moderate to strong flow, Alk 8–10 dKH, Ca 400–450 ppm, temp 23–28°C. Tolerant and robust. Frag by snapping branches. Avoid direct competition with more aggressive LPS corals (Hammer, Torch) by maintaining adequate spacing.
