Zoanthus sp.
Origin: Indo-Pacific (aquacultured morph)
Zoanthus sp. 'Sunny D' is a cheerful designer zoanthid morph featuring vivid orange polyps with a warm yellow center, evoking tropical sunrise tones. A vigorous grower that spreads readily across frag plugs and rock surfaces, making it excellent for producing trade frags and filling out reef aquascape. Like all Zoanthus morphs it is photosynthetic and thrives under moderate reef lighting. Standard palytoxin safety precautions should be followed when handling or fragging.
Place on a frag plug or rock under medium reef lighting (50–150 PAR). Moderate flow to keep polyps open and remove detritus. No supplemental feeding required but will benefit from dissolved amino acids and occasional target feeding with reef roids or rotifer paste. To frag: cut with sharp scissors between polyps; wear gloves and avoid contact with skin or eyes. Palytoxin is water-soluble — do not boil or expose to heat.
