Tailspot Blenny

Ecsenius stigmatura, the Tailspot Blenny, is a diminutive, attractive blenny perfect for smaller reef tanks and nano systems. Its body is a subtle patterned beige-grey with a striking black spot at the base of the tail fin. One of the most recommended nano reef fish — peaceful, hardy, and effective at controlling microalgae. It perches comically on rocks with its large, expressive eyes. Can safely be kept in tanks as small as 40 L.

Established tank with some microalgae growth. Supplement with nori and algae wafers. Temperature standard reef. Provide crevices and holes for perching. One blenny per tank (may fight with other blennies). Peaceful with all other reef species.
