Cyprinus rubrofuscus
Origin: Captive bred
Tancho Sanke combines the revered Tancho head marking — a single round red Hi on the crown — with the black Sumi body markings that define the Sanke variety, creating a tri-color composition that is minimalist yet visually complex. The white body serves as a pure canvas that highlights both the Tancho spot and the scattered Sumi markings. A prestigious variety among Dutch and Belgian Nishikigoi collectors, the quality of both the head spot and the Sumi placement determines show value.
Same rigorous pond care as all koi varieties. Minimum 2,000 L pond with excellent filtration, UV sterilization, and consistent water quality. Protect from herons with mesh or electric fence. Quarantine new fish before introduction.
