Tanichthys micagemmae, the Vietnamese Cardinal Minnow, is a newly described species resembling a miniature cardinal tetra — with red underparts and a blue neon stripe. Peaceful, tiny (2 cm) and ideal for nano planted tanks.

School of 10+. Soft to moderately hard water. Temperature 18–25°C, pH 6.5–7.5. Feed micro-pellets, baby brine shrimp. Prefers cooler water than most nano fish — good for unheated indoor tanks.
