Corydoras trilineatus

Origin: South America (Peru, Colombia — Amazon basin)
Corydoras trilineatus is one of the most widely available and commonly misidentified corydoras in the hobby, frequently sold as Julii Cory. It originates from slow-moving rivers and flooded forest areas in the Amazon basin of Peru and Colombia. In the aquarium it is active, peaceful, and most comfortable in groups of six or more where it displays natural shoaling behaviour.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft to moderately hard (GH 2–15). Tank: 60 L minimum; fine sand substrate to protect barbels; driftwood and leaf litter welcome. Feeding: Sinking pellets, wafers, frozen bloodworm and daphnia; feeds primarily on the substrate. Behaviour: Active diurnal schooling species; keep in groups of 6+; compatible with most community fish. Compatibility: Ideal with tetras, rasboras, dwarf cichlids, and other peaceful community species.
