Chromaphyosemion bitaeniatum

Chromaphyosemion bitaeniatum, the Two-Banded or Lagos Killifish, is a colourful non-annual killifish from Lagos and surrounding areas of Nigeria. Males display a complex colour pattern of red, blue-green, and yellow with two dark lateral stripes. A plant-spawner that lays eggs among fine-leaved plants or mops. Relatively easy for a killifish; peaceful and suitable for nano community tanks with small, gentle fish. Sold as a sexed pair.
Soft, slightly acidic water (pH 6.0–7.0). Temperature 22–26 °C. Heavily planted or mop-equipped tank. Feed small live or frozen foods. Eggs hatch after 14–21 days submerged. Males may spar — keep pairs or trios.
