About
Valenciennea strigata, the Sleeper Banded Goby, is one of the best sand-sifting gobies for maintaining a healthy sandbed. Brilliant gold-yellow head with horizontal blue stripe. Constantly sifts sand searching for tiny invertebrates — mated pairs are very stable.
Care Guide
Fine sand substrate 7+ cm. Feed Mysis, live Artemia, frozen foods. Pairs readily — keep as bonded pair. Temperature 24–27°C. Reef safe. May re-cloud water briefly after disturbing sand.
