White Discus

This captive-bred White Discus displays a clean pearlescent white to pale silver body with minimal markings, creating a stunning contrast against the rich greens of a heavily planted aquarium. Highly prized by Dutch and Belgian discus enthusiasts for its purity of appearance, it requires the same exacting soft, warm water conditions as all discus varieties to maintain its colour and vitality over the long term.

Maintain in groups of at least 5 in a minimum 200 L tank with very soft, warm water: pH 6.0–7.0, GH 2–8, KH 0–3, temperature 28–31°C. Perform 25–30% daily or every-other-day water changes for optimal health. Feed beef heart mix, quality discus pellets, and frozen bloodworms. Stable conditions are paramount — avoid sudden swings in temperature or chemistry. Bright warm-spectrum lighting enhances the pearlescent colouration.
