Yasuhikotakia morleti
Origin: Southeast Asia
Yasuhikotakia morleti, the Skunk Loach, has a cream body with a jet-black dorsal stripe running head to tail — the 'skunk' pattern. Highly active, semi-aggressive and excellent at eliminating pest snails. Prefers to be in groups.
School of 5+. Temperature 24–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5. Sandy substrate. Feeds on snails, sinking pellets, frozen bloodworm. Can be nippy with slow, long-finned fish — watch carefully.
