Zebrasoma xanthurum, the Purple Tang, is one of the most desirable and expensive marine fish — an all-deep-purple body with electric-yellow tail and bright blue accents. Red Sea endemic. A flagship specimen fish for premium reef aquariums.
Care Guide
400 L+ reef. Temperature 24–27°C. Feed nori, algae wafers, Mysis, algae pellets. Highly aggressive toward other tangs — introduce last. Once established, very hardy. Reef safe.
