Anubias gigantea
Origin: West Africa
Anubias gigantea is the largest Anubias species, with broad, deep green leaves that can reach 30 cm in length and span impressively in large aquariums. It is attached to large rocks or driftwood pieces as a background showpiece. Like all Anubias it tolerates extreme conditions and low light. Over years of growth in a stable aquarium it develops into a magnificent specimen plant. Excellent for large cichlid tanks where most plants are destroyed.
Light: low-medium. Attach to large hardscape. Do not bury rhizome. Tolerates cichlid tanks. Temperature: 22–28°C. Very long-lived. Will resist most plant-eating fish.
