Anubias minima
Also known as: Mini Anubias, Dwarf West African Anubias
Origin: West Africa
Anubias minima is a petite species from West Africa, among the smallest members of the genus in its standard, non-cultivar form. Its narrow, lanceolate leaves are produced on relatively short petioles from a slender rhizome. While diminutive, it shares all the robustness and low-maintenance appeal of larger Anubias species. Its small leaf size and compact habit make it ideal for nano aquariums and for creating fine-detail planting around rock and driftwood in larger scapes where a miniature plant is needed to maintain perspective and scale. It grows slowly but steadily and is long-lived with minimal care.
Light: Low to moderate; perfectly suited to nano tank conditions with minimal lighting. CO2: Not required; one of the most undemanding aquarium plants for nano setups. Fertilisation: Light liquid fertilisation; very low nutrient demand. Placement: Foreground to midground; attach to small pebbles or wood for best effect. Propagation: Rhizome division; cut between nodes ensuring 2+ leaves on each section.
