Aponogeton ulvaceus
Origin: Madagascar
Aponogeton ulvaceus produces enormous, translucent pale-green leaves with wavy margins that can span 60 cm or more. One of the largest freshwater aquarium plants available. Grows from a bulb/corm with periodic dormancy. Stunning specimen plant for large aquariums.
Medium light. Plant bulb near surface of substrate. Root tabs strongly recommended. pH 6.0–7.5, temperature 20–28°C. Can produce dozens of leaves simultaneously. Requires dormancy period every 6–12 months in cooler, darker conditions. Very impressive in 200+ liter tanks.
