Azolla filiculoides — Fairy Moss

Azolla filiculoides, Fairy Moss, is a small floating fern that covers the water surface rapidly with rosette-like light-green fronds that can turn red in high light. Exceptionally fast nitrogen absorption makes it an outstanding biofiltration supplement and surface cover for breeding tanks and ponds.

Floating only — do not submerge. Grows vigorously in nutrient-rich water. Ideal for outdoor tubs and ponds in Belgium during summer. Control growth to ensure fish can access the surface. Turns reddish in very bright light. Hardy outdoors in Belgian summers. Remove before winter.
