Bucephalandra sp.
Origin: Borneo
Named after the Batangkapar River in Borneo, this Bucephalandra variety is prized for its elongated dark olive-green leaves with prominent shimmering silver-blue spotting across the surface. A slow-growing rheophyte that attaches firmly to rocks and driftwood. One of the more spectacular and collectible Bucephalandra varieties.
Attach rhizome to hardscape with fishing line or aquarium glue. Never bury the rhizome. Low light with moderate flow is ideal. CO2 and liquid fertiliser improve growth speed. Very slow grower — patience required. Propagate by rhizome division. Leaves may show small white flowers above the waterline in emersed conditions.
