Bucephalandra sp. 'Brownie Purple'

One of the most visually striking Bucephalandra varieties, featuring leaves with an unusual brownish-purple to deep violet colouration unlike the typical green of most Buces. The iridescent sheen creates a jewel-like quality under aquarium lighting. New growth emerges vivid reddish-purple and gradually darkens as it matures.

Attach rhizome to hardscape above substrate. Low light is ideal — strong light may bleach the purple tones. No CO2 required; liquid fertiliser enhances colour. Very slow grower. Compatible with all fish and shrimp. Particularly stunning when mounted on dark driftwood. Propagate by rhizome division leaving at least 3 leaves per section.
