Bucephalandra sp.
Origin: Borneo
Among the rarest and most sought-after Bucephalandra varieties, 'Glass' is named for its almost translucent pale silver-green leaves that appear to glow under aquarium lighting. The thin glassy leaf texture is unlike any other aquatic plant, creating an ethereal visual effect in the aquascape. An exceptional collector specimen commanding premium prices due to extreme rarity and slow propagation.
Attach rhizome to fine hardscape in medium light — too little light dulls the glassy translucency. CO2 recommended for faster growth. Liquid micro fertilisation weekly. Handle with extreme care during aquascaping — the delicate leaves damage easily. Very limited availability — propagate slowly by rhizome division when plant is large enough.
