Bucephalandra sp.
Origin: Borneo (Sarawak)
Bucephalandra sp. 'Theia Purple' displays a striking combination of dark olive-green leaves with distinct purple-red undertones along the margins and undersides. The wavy leaf edges and characteristic blue iridescence make it visually complex and compelling. A natural species from Sarawak, it was named and distributed via European collectors. Best displayed on a piece of pale stone to contrast with its deep colouration.
Attach to stone or wood — do not bury rhizome. Medium light preferred. CO2 beneficial for growth rate and colour. Temperature 22–28 °C, soft slightly acidic water. Slow-growing but very long-lived.
