Bucephalandra sp.
Origin: Borneo
True to its name, 'Titan' is one of the largest Bucephalandra varieties available, producing broad leathery leaves up to 8 cm long with a deep lustrous green colour and subtle iridescence. It makes an impressive specimen when attached to large rocks or driftwood in Dutch or Nature-style aquascapes. Despite its size it shares the same slow-growing undemanding nature of other Bucephalandra.
Attach rhizome to large rocks or substantial driftwood pieces. Medium light and CO2 improve growth rate and leaf gloss. Liquid micro fertiliser weekly. Its larger leaf size means it may cast shadow on adjacent plants — account for this in layout planning. Propagate by careful rhizome division. A statement plant for larger tanks.
