Cryptocoryne affinis Dark Green

Cryptocoryne affinis 'Dark Green' is one of the most commonly available and reliable Cryptocoryne species. Its dark, lance-shaped leaves with a hammered surface are easy to identify. It tolerates low light conditions better than almost any other aquatic plant and can grow without CO2 injection or fertilisation in established tanks. Perfect for low-tech planted setups, Betta tanks, and community aquariums.

Light: low-medium. No CO2 required. pH 6.0–8.0. Plant rhizome but don't bury crown. Very hardy. Ideal for low-tech/low-light setups. Spreads via runners when established.
