About
Cryptocoryne balansae is a tall, narrow cryptocoryne with deeply crinkled, ruffled edges on dark green leaves. Grows to 50 cm+ in good conditions — excellent background plant for larger tanks. More light-demanding than C. wendtii.

Medium light. CO2 beneficial but not required. pH 6.5–7.8. Temperature 22–28°C. Grows tall — plant at back or sides of aquarium. May melt initially but recovers well.
