Cryptocoryne cordata var. grabowskii
Origin: Borneo (Kalimantan)
A rare variety of Cryptocoryne cordata from Borneo featuring broad, heart-shaped leaves with a striking bullate (quilted, puckered) surface texture and attractive reddish-brown patterning on the leaf blade. This variety is considered one of the most visually striking members of the C. cordata complex and is highly sought after by Crypt collectors. It grows best in soft, slightly acidic water with a rich substrate.
Plant in a nutrient-rich substrate in soft, slightly acidic water for best leaf color. Low light is sufficient; CO2 is not required but accelerates growth. Grow away from direct current to prevent leaf damage. Reddish-brown coloration intensifies in moderate light with iron-rich fertilization. Handle carefully to prevent transplant shock and crypt melt.
